Boating

There are more than eight miles of waterway between Carleton Place and Innisville. There are several launch points available where you can access the lake.  Whether your choice of vessel is a motor launch, pontoon boat, personal watercraft, sail craft, canoe or kayak, the Mississippi means fun on the water for every marine taste.

Just remember to take with you all of the essentials for a fun, safe day on the water:

     -   A Pleasure Craft Operator's License (Required for the operator of all motorized vessels)

     -   Personal Flotation Device (PFD) for the operator and each passenger (preferably worn)

     -   Prescribed emergency equipment

All of the above are described in the Transport Canada Safe Boating Guide

Safe Boating

A fun day of recreation on the water begins with water safety; knowing the rules of safe navigation, equipping your vessel and all of its passengers with the proper safety equipment and using common sense and respect for others using the waterway.
