You don't have to own property on Mississippi Lake to enjoy a wide variety of activities:

Boating is by far the most popular activity.  Visit our separate section dedicated to boating.

Cautionary Buoy Program

The MLA buoy program was one of the original purposes of creating the MLA, way back in 1944!  Visit this section to find out what the buoys look like, where we put them, and what you should do to avoid the underwater obastacles that these buoys mark.

Fun on the lake is not limited to boating or - in the old days - boarding a steamboat to take you from Carleton Place to Innisville.

Year-around, lake residents and visitors "from away" can enjoy all kinds of features of the lake, from swimming, bird watching, fishing, hunting, etc.  Visit this section of the website to get some ideas of what is available.
